Barnsley, Doncaster, Rotherham and Sheffield are working together to produce a South Yorkshire Waste Strategy to deal with challenges they face over the next five years.

It does not include the day-to- day detail around household bin-collections, services that will continue to be planned at a local level. All four councils want to hear from their local residents and businesses to help them decide on their priorities.

A major consultation on the subject is running from June 6 to July 31. To take part, go to www.bdronline.co.uk/haveyoursay and complete the short questionnaire. If you need a paper version, please ring 01709 765350.

The results will be analysed and incorporated into a new South Yorkshire Waste Strategy which will be launched in the Autumn.
