A pooling of spirituality

jUST days ago the new eye-catching mirror pool and fountains outside Bradford’s City Hall were being used by visitors to cool off amid the dazzling spring sunshine.

Yesterday, the Rev Chris Howson, of Bradford’s SoulSpace, was using the water feature for a more spiritual purpose, by leading a service where worshippers were encouraged to wash one another’s feet.

Mr Howson, who washed the feet of Ann Barratt (pictured) during the Maundy Thursday service, said: “It’s a symbolic action to represent service to one another and service to the city.”
