Pram woman killed in lorry crash horror

A WOMAN pushing a child in a pram was killed when she was struck by a lorry in Hull.

The victim was pronounced dead at Hull Royal Infirmary following the collision in Hessle Road which happened just before 12.45pm on Saturday.

The toddler suffered minor injuries in the accident.

Humberside Police are appealing for witnesses to the crash to come forward.

Inspector Andrew Dixon said: “The child in the pushchair suffered very minor injuries and is fine.”

The tragedy occurred less than 24 hours after another pedestrian in the city was killed after being hit by a lorry.

The man, who was believed to be in his 60s or 70s, was hit by the vehicle in Holderness Road just before 3.30pm on Friday, police said.
