Prince’s countryside warning

The Prince of Wales talks to National Trust volunteers during a tour yesterday of the Winter Gardens in the grounds of Anglesey Abbey, in Lode, Cambridge. During the visit the Prince warned of the dangers of “pulling threads” from the “delicate tapestry” of the UK countryside. He told tourism bosses that farmers were the tourist industry’s “greatest ally” and said the countryside must remain a “living, breathing” place.
