£25,000 Rolex stolen in burglary

Thieves scaled scaffolding and climbed through a roof window to grab a £50,000 haul of jewellery from a flat in Hull.

As well as the gold Rolex Oyster Perpetual - which has a blue face and a president bracelet - they got away with six rings, including a two carat sapphire gold ring and a chequerboard 18 carat gold ring, chains, charms and a Raymond Weil watch.

The Rolex was valued at £25,000 bringing the total worth of the jewellery to £50,000, police said.

Police are appealing for anyone who witnessed the burglary at the back of the flat in Morpeth Street between 9.30pm on Saturday and 10.30am on Sunday, or who knows where the stolen goods are, to come forward.
