The Queen chooses purple for church outing

The Queen has been seen attending church in Norfolk after recovering from illness.

Her Majesty was confined indoors over the Christmas and New Year period due to a ‘heavy cold’ while staying at her Sandringham estate.

She stepped out in a purple outfit to attend a Sunday morning service at Flitcham Church in the rain today.

Also seen among the royal party was the monarch’s nephew the second Earl of Snowdon, David Armstrong-Jones, whose father Lord Snowdon passed away earlier in the week. The first earl was married to Princess Margaret until they divorced in 1978.
