Rail workers land £650 bonus to work during Olympics
Hundreds of rail employees will receive £650 for working during the Olympics under a “ground-breaking” deal announced by a union yesterday.
The Rail Maritime and Transport union said its members at London Overground will receive the extra payment in return for flexibility of work patterns during next summer’s event.
The deal is one the best so far for employees working during the Games and beats the £500 bonuses for Network Rail staff.
