Rainfall scuppers most of North Yorkshire County Show this weekend
MOST of North Yorkshire County Show has been cancelled this weekend, due to the condition of the ground.
An announcement posted on Saturday says: “Following heavy rainfall over the past two days, the show organisers regret they have had no alternative but to cancel the main 2012 show, including show jumping, due to the condition of the main show field.
“The light horse cancellation will go ahead as planned in the light horse field.”
The cancellation covers all the livestock competitions and the trade stands exhibition. Stallholders who pitched early are being given assistance to extricate themselves from the mud.
