Remains at lake thought to be human
The grisly find was made on Thursday afternoon at Welton Waters, a former gravel pit near the River Humber and about three miles west of the Humber Bridge.
Police divers carried out preliminary searches of the lake in Common Lane, Welton, which is home to Welton Sailing Club.

A spokeswoman said: “We got a call at about 2.20pm after a member of the public found some sort of remains in Welton Waters.
“The remains have been removed and will be taken away for examination.”
Although near the Humber, the 100-acre lake is enclosed and not connected to the estuary.
