Reports of fire after lorry's engine fails on major road near Leeds

A lorry broke down on a major road near Leeds after its engine failed.

Firefighters were called to reports that the vehicle was on fire at around 5.25am today (Tuesday) on the A63 at Lumby, near Sherburn in Elmet.

Crews found the lorry was not on fire when they arrived.

North Yorkshire Fire and Rescue said the vehicle's engine turbo had blown.
