Retailer teams up with art gallery

A MUSEUM has teamed up with retailer Harvey Nichols to stage an art exhibition at the Leeds city centre store.

The Hepworth Wakefield at Harvey Nichols is a new temporary display of works by artist Clare Woods and designer Laura Slater.

The display will feature prints by Clare, produced to compliment her exhibition at The Hepworth Wakefield - called The Unquiet Head - which is on show until January 29 next year.

The work is being displayed in the store’s fourth floor cafe.

The £35m Hepworth Wakefield, named after locally-born sculptor Barbara Hepworth, opened in May. It has 10 galleries covering 5,000 square metres.

It is the largest purpose-built gallery to open in the UK for 43 years.
