Rider badly hurt in crash with lorry
A Harrogate man aged 44 suffered serious injuries when his motorbike was involved in a collision with an articulated lorry in North Yorkshire.
The crash happened on the A61 between Harrogate and Ripon near Ripley at about 5.30pm on Friday and the road was closed for six hours.
He was taken to Harrogate District Hospital with serious arm, leg and head injuries before he was transferred to Leeds General Infirmary.
