River search formissing man
Divers from West Yorkshire Police will begin searching the River Ure today for a 36-year-old man who has not been seen since 10am on Sunday.
North Yorkshire Police asked for their assistance as the hunt continues for Ian Simpkin, of Wath, near Ripon, who left home wearing a green fleece top, blue jeans and green boots. Local people joined police, mountain rescue teams and a search and rescue helicopter but no trace has been found of Mr Simpkin. Yesterday the divers searched ponds and watercourses.
