RL World Cup on show

THE Rugby League World Cup trophy will be in Beverley next week as part of a national tour ahead of this year’s competition, which is being held in England and Wales.

The famous trophy will be on display in Beverley Leisure Complex, home to the town’s own rugby league club, Beverley ARLFC, on Tuesday, April 9, from 4.30pm to 6pm.

Coach Guy Adams said: “We are delighted that the Rugby League World Cup trophy will be coming to Beverley and are excited that it will be on display on our home turf. We are confident that, as a keen rugby league town, people will come out in force to view the trophy and this event should kick-start the atmosphere.”
