Rule again, Britannia

The Royal Yacht Britannia is back at her permanent berth in Edinburgh and will today reopen to the public after a maintenance break for her hull to be repainted.Britannia was taken to dry dock early last month for the planned work– which needed 2,500 litres of paint.

As well as her hull, Britannia’s three masts and funnel were also treated and repainted. The ship has been based at the Port of Leith’s ocean terminal since being decommissioned in Portsmouth in December 1997.
