Runners set to put best feet forward for charity

Hundreds of people will help to raise money for charity on Sunday by taking part in the Bradford City Runs.

Participants will join either a 5K, a 10K or a half marathon route which will set off from the bottom of Thornton Road, close to City Park, and go up and around Bradford university and college.

Epilepsy Action and Sue Ryder at Manorlands, Oxenhope, Keighley, which are supporting the event, will benefit from a significant proportion of the fees raised.

Councillor Andrew Thornton, Bradford Council’s executive member for environment, sport and sustainability, said: “The multi-distance approach and the lap course from City Park around the university and college campuses means that the Bradford City Runs event is open to people at all stages of fitness and levels of ability.”
