Rush hour chaos for drivers in Leeds and Bradford

TWO minor accidents caused rush hour chaos on the Leeds inner ring road this morning - while a burst water main created misery for commuters in Bradford.

In Leeds, long tailbacks of traffic built up on the A58 ring road after an accident closed the westbound carriageway near the A660 Skipton road at Woodhouse Lane. Traffic worsened after a second two-vehicle accident.

In Bradford, the B6144 White Abbey Road was closed in both directions between Lumb Lane and Carlisle Road, because of a burst water main and emergency repairs. Drivers were diverted via Little Horton Lane and Manchester Road.
