Search for entrepreneurs with true Yorkshire grit

Each has its own remarkable tale to tell, from how it was first conceived, to how it has developed and how it has grown into the success it is today.

RBS is inviting the owners of these businesses across the county to come forward and tell their stories.

The bank hopes to turn the spotlight on one of these businesses, and is looking to celebrate the success of ambitious and entrepreneurial individuals and companies across the region who have made a real impact when setting up or expanding their own business.

Entrepreneurs recognise that they need to gain a competitive market edge to ensure not only their survival but also to focus on future growth.

RBS is looking for companies which have demonstrated real innovation and success backed up with evidence of a strong financial performance and commitment to developing their staff and the future of their business.

Growth can take many forms. It could be expanding to new premises, taking on new contracts, new staff, or new opportunities, such as exporting or merger and acquisition activity.

And the bank is also looking for firms who have demonstrated true Yorkshire grit in turning around their business to be a great success.

This could include examples of emerging from a difficult period or the impact of the recession on a business and how it has come out stronger and more successful, and who has supported them on this journey.

Many ventures have experienced fast growth, and a number of the region’s companies featured in the Sunday Times Fast Track of UK firms. RBS is looking to embrace the region’s fast growth stars and the story of their journeys.

Yorkshire has a host of fantastic SMEs, and the bank is keen to celebrate the wealth of talent and hard working firms across the region.
