Search for man missing from Sheffield mental health hospital

Police have issued this photograph of a 24-year-old man who has been missing from a hospital unit for prisoners in Sheffield for almost two weeks.

Ali Rajabpoor was last seen on Thursday, March 2.

The picture shown here of Ali Rajabpoor was taken on the day he was reported missing from Forest Lodge Hospital Unit.

A “low secure unit” the facility is used to assess, treat and rehabilitate mentally disordered offenders.

South Yorkshire Police said they were increasingly concerned for the welfare of Mr Rajabpoor and the force is asking the public for any information they may have about his whereabouts.

Mr Rajabpoor is around 5ft 10ins, slim, with short dark hair and had been wearing a blue top with a red zip and a grey hooded top with white writing on.

He also has a distinct gap in his left eyebrow.

Anyone with any information is asked to contact police via 101, quoting incident number 772 of March 2.
