The lack of Bank Holiday sun did not stop five-year-old Ethan Dooley, from Hull, taking to the sands at Bridlington yesterday.
There were few buckets or spades to be seen at the east coast resort as Britain faced a mostly grey and cloudy Easter Monday, but the blustery winds made it as good a day as any for flying kites.
