Soccer legends back charity golf day
FORMER Sheffield Wednesday and England footballers will be taking part in a charity golf day in support of Weston Park Hospital Cancer Charity on Friday, May 28.
The Sheffield Wednesday Legends Golf Day at Beauchief Golf Course will include breakfast and an 18-hole round of golf. It will be followed by a four-course dinner in the Skyline Suite at Ponds Forge, featuring a prize presentation and a talk from Chris Waddle, David Hirst and other guests.
Waddle, who is a member at Beauchief, said: "Weston Park is one of only three dedicated cancer hospitals in the UK so we are very lucky to have this facility so close to us. We need days like this to make sure the hospital can continue its fantastic work."
