Star honoured in home city

Music legend Sir Paul McCartney has been honoured in his home city with an “icon” award.

The former Beatle, 69, returned to Liverpool to stage the sell-out finale to his One The Run world tour at the city’s Echo Arena.

To mark the event, Sir Paul was named an Echo Arena Icon and presented with a specially-designed accolade.
