Summer of angels

A HOST of angels is appearing at Thornhill Parish Church in Dewsbury.

The 60 angels will be joining the existing angels in the church for the remainder of the summer months. They are the work of artist, Celia Kilner, from Holmfirth, who took her inspiration from illustrations of angels around the world.

Schools in Thornhill, Thornhill Lees and Savile Town have been taking part in a community project based around the multi faith beliefs about angels, the culmination of which is the installation. It will be launched on Friday and then be open on Wednesdays and Sundays, 10.30am-4pm, until September 2.
