Talent show mum denies flytipping

The mother of Britain's Got Talent winner George Sampson denied dumping a load of his fan mail when she appeared in court yesterday.

Lesley Sampson, 40, pleaded not guilty to one charge of flytipping during a short hearing at Warrington Crown Court.

It is alleged she left bags of rubbish containing George's fan mail in a wooded area backing on to her home in Lyster Close, Birchwood, Warrington.

She was granted unconditional bail until February 3 when she will go on trial.

George, 16, shot to fame when he won ITV's Britain's Got Talent in 2008.
