Teacher pleads guilty to charges over lesbian relationship with pupil,15

A TEACHER has admitted charges involving a lesbian relationship with a pupil.

Louise Yeoman, 29, pleaded guilty at Leeds Crown Court yesterday to 10 sexual offences between December 2008, when the schoolgirl was 15, and March this year.

She admitted three charges of sexual activity with a child involving touching the girl, including one using a sex toy and two charges of inciting the teenager to engage in sexual activity with her.

The other five charges involve sexual activity by a person in a position of trust knowing the girl, by then 16, was her pupil at a school in Wakefield.

Yeoman, recently of St John's Drive, Harrogate, was bailed for a pre-sentence report until December 1 after John Wilkinson, representing her, told the court she was of previous good character.

Imposing conditions of residence, non contact with the victim and to comply with the report's preparation, the Recorder of Leeds, Judge Peter Collier QC ordered her to register as a sex offender.

He told her: "The fact I'm giving you bail is no indication that the sentence will not be custodial, all that is a matter for the judge whom you come before."
