A HEADTEACHER who helped to take a Bradford secondary from special measures to being rated as outstanding is returning to a former school.

Jackie Nellis has been appointed as headteacher of Halifax High at Wellesley Park.

From 2000 to 2004 she was the school's assistant head before leaving to become head at Carlton Bolling College.
