Sisters features interviews with dozens of Muslim women to counter stereotypes and 'lift the veil on a world of custom and tradition'.

Writer and actress Stephanie Street has enjoyed a successful career on stage and screen, appearing in TV dramas such as Holby City and Red Cap. Denise Black, who played Denise Osbourne in Coronation Street, and Lena Kaur, better known as Leila Roy in Hollyoaks, also star.

The play's subjects include veils and sexuality, and there are a number of opportunities to talk to the people involved. After this Thursday's performance, a panel discussion – The Power to Define Who We Are – will see the cast talk through the issues raised by the play with members of Sheffield's Muslim community.

And before the curtain goes up for Friday's performance, director Ruth Carney will share her views.

Ticket-holders for the 'women only' show on Wednesday March 24 can enjoy a pre-show lunch and use the theatre creche. Sisters runs until Saturday March 27.
