These pictures show the dramatic moment an eyewitness captured police officers arresting a suspect following a car chase through the streets of a Yorkshire city.

The incident happened on Stanningley Road in the Stanningley area of Leeds at around 8.40pm on Wednesday, July 18.

Three males aged 18, 20 and 22 were arrested on suspicion of burglary following the chase which resulted in a Nissan Qashqai, which had been reported stolen, crashing near the fire station on Stanningley Road.

They were then pursued on foot and detained.

The Nissan had been reported stolen from Broadlea Terrace in Bramley on Monday, July 16.

The suspects had failed to stop for police when the car was spotted, and a chase which resulted in the collision followed.

All three males remain in custody.
