Thieves cut down two trees and steal hot tub in garden

Thieves cut down two trees to steal a hot tub from a garden. Police said the crooks went to “extreme lengths” to take the £9,150 tub from the deck of a summerhouse in Patrixbourne, near Canterbury, Kent.

When it was delivered last year, the hot tub – which had an inbuilt music system – had to be lifted over the boundary fence by a crane because it was too wide to fit through the property’s gate.

Kent Police said the criminals stole the white and brown HotSpring Envoy hot tub some time between 9am on December 6 and 2pm on December 8.

Its owner, who declined to be named, said: “We still can’t believe the lengths someone has gone to in order to steal the hot tub.”

Pc Karen Robson, of Kent Police, said: “This wasn’t the work of an opportunist. The thieves have gone to extreme lengths to steal this hot tub.”

Anyone with information is asked to call Kent Police on 101 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
