Thieves use stolen cars to ram-raid petrol station and steal cash machine near Howden

Thieves used stolen cars to ram-raid a petrol station and steal a cash machine in East Yorkshire.

The raiders targeted the BP garage in Main Road, Gilberdyke, near Howden, after stealing two cars last Monday (July 3).

A red Manitou car, used in the raid, was stolen from the Kilpin area at around 5.20pm.

And a black Mitsubushi L200 was also stolen in a burglary at a home on Deninson Road, Pocklington, between 2.30pm on July 2 and 12.30pm on July 3.

Police have today (Wednesday), appealed for information about either burglary, or the raid at the petrol station.

A spokesperson for Humberside Police said: "If you have seen either of these vehicles that on the night of the 3 July please call and tell us exactly what you have seen and where.

"Or if you have dashboard camera footage that may be relevant call us on the non-emergency number 101 quoting log 41 of 04/07/2017."
