Three bailed after man, 21, stabbed in neck

THREE men arrested after a stabbing in Sheffield city centre in the early hours of Sunday have been released on bail, pending further enquiries.

A 21-year-old man was stabbed in the neck at around 4.20am following a “dispute” at the junction of Cambridge Street and Division Street, close to Sheffield City Hall.

It is understood that a security guard at the Spar shop in Division Street, who is also an ex-soldier, held his hand over the injured man’s neck while they waited for the emergency services to arrive.
