Tory-held Moors feature in Labour political broadcast

LABOUR opted for the stunning scenery of the North York Moors as the backdrop for its first party election broadcast insisting the party has put the country on the "road to recovery".

The five-minute broadcast, screened last night starring film star Sean Pertwee and ex-Doctor Who David Tennant, featured scenes around Goathland, Staithes, Sleights and Robin Hood's Bay – all in the Tory-held constituency of Scarborough and Whitby.

Entitled The Road Ahead, the broadcast presented the election as a choice at a crossroads between following the straight road ahead to recovery or taking an apparently easier route which will swiftly lead into disaster.
