Touch of glass

SPECIALIST glaziers fitted the final two pieces of stained glass into the West Window at Holy Trinity Church, Ossett, yesterday, after months of painstaking restoration work.

The restoration of the West Window, which was funded by the local Whitaker family back in the 1870s, and depicts events leading up to the Resurrection has been made possible by a community grant of £59,490 from WREN.

Vicar, Paul Maybury, said yesterday: “This marks the completion of the next significant stage in our programme of repair and restoration.”
