Town Hall to host concert of English music

SINGERS with the Leeds Philharmonic Chorus will join forces with musicians from The National Festival Orchestra for a performance at Leeds Town Hall.

They will perform Benjamin Britten’s St Nicolas, a work in nine parts portraying the life of the 4th century saint.

This concert of 20th century English music also features Dyson’s Hierusalem, Holst’s Two Psalms and Britten’s Simple Symphony; the second movement was used in the 2012 Wes Anderson film Moonrise Kingdom.
