Traffic chaos as lorry crash closes M1
AN overturned lorry closed the northbound M1 in South Yorkshire during this morning's rush hour, causing traffic chaos across the county.
Police set up diversions after the incident, between junction 38 at Woolley and junction 40 at Flushdyke, causing congestion beyond Dodworth.
Drivers south of Sheffield were advised to divert to the M18 and A1(M). Traffic to the north is being re-routed on the A637, A636 and A638.
The motorway reopened late this morning
