Daniel Bakes denies causing public nuisance over lamppost drama that halted Leeds traffic for five hours
Daniel Bakes today pleaded not guilty to one count of causing a public nuisance in regards to the incident on Monday.
Bakes, from Hunslet, appeared in the dock wearing a black tee shirt and flanked by three dock officers.

Hide AdDuring the 15-minute hearing at Leeds Magistrates’ Court, Bakes confirmed his name, date of birth and address.
Bakes, who receives Employment and Support Allowance benefits, was remanded in custody to appear back at before magistrates next week via videolink for a second remand hearing.
There were long tailbacks in the city centre for most of Monday after police closed surrounding roads.
