M62 closure extended in Yorkshire because new road surface laid overnight hasn't set in time
An overnight closure of the M62 in Yorkshire is ongoing this morning after a newly-laid road surface took longer than expected to set.
National Highways said: “The M62 remains closed westbound this morning between Junction 28 (for Morley) and Junction 27 (for Batley) following overnight planned works. There has been an issue with the tarmac setting, which requires more time to cure. Contractors will open the road as soon as it is safe. Please keep following our Twitter feed for updates.”
