Man, 23, fights for life after Ilkley crash

The 23-year-old was taken to Leeds General Infirmary after the incident on Cowpasture Road at around 7.15pm on Monday night.

The young man was driving a silver Vauxhall Corsa, which crashed with a black Volvo V50 travelling the opposite way, near the Craiglands Hotel.

In total, two men were taken to hospital for treatment - one by ambulance and one by air ambulance.

Fire crews from Otley and Rawdon attended the scene and rescued one of the men who was trapped in their car.

Anyone who witnessed the accident or has any information should call PC Cox at the Western Area Roads Policing Unit on 101.
