Video: Steam locomotive crosses Yorkshire's iconic Ribblehead Viaduct in snow


The Winter Cumbrian Mountain Express is a heritage excursion run by the Railway Touring Company from London Euston to Carlisle, via Milton Keynes, Rugby and Preston.
The steam leg of the journey, from Carnforth via the Settle to Carlisle Railway, traversed the iconic Ribblehead Viaduct in snow on Saturday, hauled by the locomotive British India Line.

Photographers who had turned out to see the train couldn't have hoped for a better backdrop, as last week's snowfall remained on the fells.
The Winter Cumbrian Express will be returning to the Settle and Carlisle Railway on Saturday February 23 - and tickets are still for sale.
