Travel chaos as former Hurricane Ophelia brings 70mph winds to Yorkshire

The one-time Hurricane Ophelia has brought rush-hour chaos to Yorkshire this morning as it blows across the county with gusts of up to 70mph.

Former Hurricane Ophelia battered parts of Ireland, Wales and the western coast of England yesterday.

The storm blew into the UK yesterday as western parts of the nation were left battered by the strong winds. Now the Met Office has warned that much of Yorkshire is set to witness long spells of high winds throughout Tuesday. Here is the latest weather package from the Met Office and the BBC.
