Trophy and kiss from a Brazilian supermodel for the polo prince

Prince Harry got a kiss from a supermodel yesterday as he ended up on the winning side in a charity polo match in Brazil.

Guests had arrived at Haras Larissa, an exclusive boutique hotel set on a working ranch and stud farm in Sao Paulo state in luxury cars and by corporate helicopters.

But the prince exchanged a chauffeur-driven limousine for a horse-drawn carriage for his arrival. Harry took the reins and drove two grey horses onto the polo ground, following in the footsteps of his grandfather, the Duke of Edinburgh, who used to drive carriages competitively.

The royal took part in the event near the city of Campinas in aid of the charity Sentebale which he co-founded in 2006.

The Sentebale Polo Cup is designed to raise money for and awareness of the organisation’s activities helping orphans and vulnerable children in Lesotho.

The Prince led his Sentebale team to an action-packed 6-3 win over a St Regis side. At one point with an open goal undefended 40 metres in front of him, he missed the target and let out a cry of disappointment.

When one of the opposing players had a fall, Harry jumped from his polo pony to help the man, who later re-joined the action.

As Harry was presented with the trophy, model and TV presenter Fernanda Motta, 30, stepped forward to give each of the winning team members two celebratory kisses.

After Harry received his pecks on the cheek, he made everyone laugh by clenching his fists in celebration.
