Tumble-dryer fireshock for woman

A woman in her 30s had to be given oxygen by firefighters after the clothes in her tumble dryer burst into flames due to a build up of lint in the equipment, North Yorkshire fire service said.

Firemen in breathing gear put out the burning machine in a kitchen utility room of the home in Birch Avenue, Sleights, near Whitby on Thursday morning. The woman was treated by the crew for shock.
