Two arrested in spot checks on vans
Humberside Police and other agencies stopped 57 vehicles in the Bankside area of the city last Tuesday as part of Operation Hades against metal theft, fuel theft, and vehicle and traffic offences.
Altogether 22 traffic offences were detected and 13 prohibition notices were issued for offences including dangerous parts and worn tyres.

Hide AdInvestigations began into 10 drivers suspected of carrying waste illegally carriage, and four vehicles were found to be too heavy.
Sergeant Claire Hall said: “Humberside Police are committed to tackling criminality at all levels.
“As well as our policing units working together and complementing one another’s efforts in the reduction of crime and our reassurance to the public, we will continue our successful working practices with our partner agencies engaging in broader approaches to achieve these aims.
“We will stop criminal activity in all its guises using every means available. We would encourage the public to let us know what they know to help us in our efforts.”
