Two people trapped in car after fence smash

TWO people were rescued from wreckage by 999 workers when a car demolished a garden fence and nearly crashed into the side of a house in a seaside town.

No one in the property in Filey was injured when the Hyundai saloon left Scarborough Road just before 8pm on Tuesday, North Yorkshire fire service said.

Firefighters from Scarborough and Filey cleared debris from the side of the car after the alarm was raised at 7.54pm. The two occupants of the vehicle could not get out because of their injuries.
