Body of Yorkshire soldier brought home

THE body of a Yorkshire soldier killed in Afghanistan was repatriated to the UK yesterday.

Craftsman Andrew Found, from the Royal Electrical and Mechanical Engineers, along with Pte Gareth Bellingham, from 3rd Battalion, the Mercian Regiment, was brought home to RAF Lyneham in Wiltshire.

A private service was held at the base’s chapel before their cortege passed through nearby Wootton Bassett where family members stood alongside townsfolk and members of the Royal British Legion.

Craftsman Found, 27, a married father-of-two from Whitby, died in an explosion in the Gereshk Valley area last Thursday.
