Goats move in a mysterious way

THE countdown has begun for the long-awaited return of York’s Mystery Plays to the Museum Gardens – and yesterday marked exactly a year before the curtains go up. So, to celebrate, the producers spent the day at the Yorkshire Museum of Farming gaining some theatrical inspiration.

The plays tell a selection of biblical stories and an adaptation of Noah’s Ark is being penned.

While it is not yet known if animals from the Murton Park museum will take to the stage that did not stop community producer Liam Evans-Ford, left, and site manager Ben Pugh from auditioning goats Farthing and Legs 2.
