McCartney, 69, marries again with Ringo among the guests

FORMER Beatles bandmate Ringo Starr was among the many famous guests of music legend Sir Paul McCartney who gathered in north London yesterday for his third wedding.

Sir Paul and American heiress Nancy Shevell smiled and waved as they arrived at the Old Marylebone Town Hall yesterday afternoon – the 69-year-old former Beatle wearing a dark suit with white shirt and pale blue tie, his 51-year-old bride in a stunning long-sleeved white dress reportedly designed by Sir Paul’s daughter Stella.

The couple became engaged earlier this year after they began dating four years ago in the upmarket Hamptons area of Long Island, New York.

Ringo Starr and his wife Barbara Bach, and George Harrison's widow Olivia were among the guests.

Sir Paul's daughter, Beatrice, acted as bridesmaid.

Lady McCartney's second cousin, US broadcaster Barbara Walters, described the wedding as “beautiful and wonderful” and admitted she shed a tear.

“I feel absolutely wonderful,” a beaming Sir Paul told the crowds after the hour-long ceremony.

The wedding party travelled to Sir Paul’s home in St John’s Wood and the reception in a huge marquee with one huge chocolate and one vegan cake.
