Monaco glamour brought to Harewood House event

Prince Albert, 53, and Princess Charlene, 33, a former South African Olympic swimmer, were the guests of honour at the ball, which was attended by more than 300 people and raised more than £250,000 for charity.

The Royal couple were making their first visit to the UK since their wedding this summer, one of the most high-profile social events of the year.

The ball, which featured Lulu and Bobby Davro, marked the pinnacle of a series of events this year to mark the 50th anniversary of the Yorkshire committee of the charity, which has raised millions of pounds for needy children.
