Proud Beckhams show off baby Harper photos online

Fashion designer Victoria was pictured dozing with the newborn lying upon her chest in the image loaded onto the internet by her husband yesterday, who wrote: “I took this picture of my two girls sleeping”.

He posted the image just hours after his wife uploaded a tender photo of him cradling the baby girl to her Twitter page, with the caption “Daddy’s little girl! X”.

It came after she last week declared: “Baby Harper is the most beautiful baby girl I have ever seen, I have fallen in love all over again!!!”

Harper Seven is the couple’s fourth child, after sons Brooklyn, 12, Romeo, eight, and Cruz, six, and the photos emerged seven days after she was born by caesarean last week.

The footballer took to the pitch with LA Galaxy on Saturday for his team’s game against Real Madrid with their new arrival’s name stitched on his boots with those of his sons. His new look footwear also included pink stitching in honour of his first daughter.

Beckham, 36, explained her name last week, revealing it had been a long-time favourite of theirs. “One reason is Harper’s an old English name which we loved and one of the other reasons was Victoria’s favourite book is To Kill A Mockingbird and the author was Harper Lee.”

As for her middle name, he acknowledged the reference to his former shirt number but added “it symbolises spiritual perfection, seven wonders of the world, seven colors of the rainbow and in many cultures... it’s regarded as a lucky number”.
