Stars empty out their wardrobes for Oxfam

sharp elbows were out in London yesterday to bag a bargain at a jumble sale with a difference. TV and radio presenters Dawn Porter and Gemma Cairney were the hosts for the sale to raise money for Oxfam’s Get-together campaign to celebrate International Women’s Day.

Shoppers had the chance to rifle through the clothes donated by Dawn and Gemma, along with bags of donations brought along by other celebrity supporters. Despite the glamour, the event had a serious message, trying to highlight the fact that there are 1.3 billion people living in poverty worldwide – more than two-thirds of whom are female.
